The High Commission of India, Mbabane would like to refer to the extant guidelines stating that OCI cardholders shall have to get their OCI card re-issued once a new passport is issued after completing 20 years of age.
To avoid inconvenience to such OCI cardholders, in view of Covid-19 pandemic, the Government of India has extended the time for re-issuance of OCI cards in such cases until 31 December, 2022.
Further, it is notified that such OCI cardholders will be allowed to travel on the strength of their existing OCI cards, bearing old passport number, subject to the condition that the OCI cardholders will have to travel along with their new passport.
